Specialised software for the sector

Sample records, patient files, inventory, quality and reporting, and the interfacing that ties them to existing instruments.

Where it is used

  • Recording and tracking of laboratory samples and results
  • Management of appointments, records and billing in the clinic
  • Tracking of lots, expiry dates and traceability of materials
  • Management of documentation and quality
  • Operational and quality reporting
  • Connection of instruments and systems to one another

Product types

Laboratory information and sample tracking

A laboratory information management system logs each sample entering the laboratory, tracks it through every step of the analytical workflow, and stores the result together with the standards and quality controls used. Inventory and traceability systems track lots, expiry dates and the movement of materials, linking each result back to the specific material used to produce it.

Clinic administration

Clinic management systems organise appointments, patient records and billing, keeping the patient's administrative path from booking through to the delivery of a result in one place.

Quality and reporting

Quality management systems hold the documentation, corrective actions and audits a laboratory quality system requires. Reporting and data analysis turn operational data into reports and quality indicators that support decision-making within the institution.

Instrument interfacing

Instrument interfacing connects analysers and existing systems to one another through a middleware layer that standardises communication across different instruments, often in both directions: the system can send a test order to the instrument, and the instrument can return the result directly to the system, without manual re-entry of data.
